It is some of the best tasting meat you can eat. In May I made a lrge batch of shredded lion that was very similar to pulled pork. I took it to school for my staff to try. Most people took a small spoonful just to try the exotic fare. Soon they were returning to load up their plates. As mentioned it sorta looks like pork and has a somewhat mild flavor. We had a big family and friends party for one of my boys birthday about a month ago and we roasted a lion roast in the crock pot and did the pulled pork thing with it. kidso Report post Posted August 1, 2010 Copy that! My wife loves lion meat more than elk and bear! It is a beautiful lighter meat than bear or elk and looks like pork roast. I too have pulled it apart and barbequed it and brought it in for both my school staff and my students. They have also had elk and bear, but lion is truly the class favorite!
