I looked in to a cuddyback but its expensive... What do you have? What do you like? What should I look for? HELP ME PLEASE

I've been using a DLC for over a year and love it!!! It's by far the best trail camera I have ever used. Make sure to support the site by purchasing one from Amanda.

The ones that the site sell are top notnh. I supplement my good cams with inenexpensive low MP cams. I like wildview; easy to use, hard to mess up. The pics ares as much fun too look at or show buddies but you can tell if hes a "no brainer"

I love the Coverts!! They have excellent picture and video quality, outstanding battery life, and are lightweight. They just came out with the new HR (high-resolution) version. It doesn't require a remote and can take pics up to 8MP and take a 8GB card.

If you want to buy one from CouesWhitetail.com, you can order it on this page:

http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/trail_cameras.htm

fyi - you can see sample photos and video on the page linked above.

Just a reminder, that as with everything I sell, if you don't like it for some reason you can return it for a refund. Customer service is a high priority here and I want to make sure everyone enjoys the products they buy from me.

How much are they? and can someone steal it? Is the cheapest model good and does it have video capabilities? If I get it, it will be through this forum...

Welcome to CWT.com, Mangey Joe.

Regarding the theftability issue, humans tend to be morally challenged, especially when no one is looking. And some are quite good with a variety of tools. So the answer to "Can someone steal it?" is always yes. BUT, Amanda sells lockable metal bear boxes and python cable locks to help secure the cams. She also sells a nifty little deal called the Tree-60 mount which allows you to mount the camera in places where many people won't look for a trail cam. If you're a "belt and suspenders" person like me, you'll use them all. But, like anything, if someone finds it and really wants it, it's gone. (Cams on water seem to go especially quickly.)

Regarding the price, they're all listed on the CWT.com store accessible from the home page. Here's the link:

I have the Covert II (plus all the anti-theft stuff) and really like it. I don't have the original version but I'm sure Amanda has info on that.

Good luck and I can't wait to see your pics!

Someone stole one of mine last year, bear box and all! Now I set up a camera in a hidden location to watch the camera that I am using to target something. They will only steal from me once.

The covert I and II are awesome!! I would recommend purchasing a bear box and python lock to keep the honest hunters/hikers honest as well as for the bears. I've had several cameras chewed up by bears!!

I've also got a home brew P-41 trail camera that is very high quality for sale. The shutter speed is faster than any camera out there.

thx,

Mike

IMO the new 2010 Bushnell Trophy Cams are the best camera out there for less than $300. They are small, and the battery lasts 1 year. 8 megapixels, fast trigger, great photos, and they have a built in loop so you can attach a master lock python lock to it. I chose them because I am able to get them through my job for $130/ea. I'm glad I did, sweet cameras.

Just an fyi - The bushnell trophy cam is a copy of the Covert cams which came out prior to them. The cameras are made by the same factory but under different names, so they have the same features. The Covert cams were created by a deer hunter in Kentucky and he has them built in China. However the factory in China made a deal with bushnell to essentially make the same cameras under the bushnell name.
