slopoke36 Report post Posted July 12, 2010 I went scouting the Canelo Hills this weekend and didn't see much. I was wondering if anyone had any information about that area (east side of 35B)?
NRS Report post Posted July 12, 2010 I killed my first white tail in there in 1977, but have not hunted it since the early 80's. It is good habitat and the FS has been doing a lot of work in there thinning out the brush and putting in more waters. Just put in some time scouting and you will find them. COUESAZ Report post Posted July 12, 2010 I know of one 115 inch buck that came out of them back about 20 some years ago. The last time I went in I knew it was not the same as it was back then. I think it has some good bucks but you need to put the time in and you will find them.
