My broadhead through tire test

Recommended Posts

I was out shooting my bow today making sure everything was working correctly and decided to try out one of my old Interlock broadheads just to see how they fly with my current set-up. Well I must have really flinched or this sucker went way low. The arrow went under my pig I was shooting, hit the concrete and somehow just made it under my RV gate and stuck right into a spare tire I have for my little trailer :P . It left quite a hole in the tire on both sides. I used this same type of broadhead on a cow elk in 2001 and it actually made it most of the way out the opposite shoulder. No damage to the broadhead from the tire or elk. David

You could here the lungs deflating :P . I think I will do a full body mount on this one. I think the tire is only 2 ply, but this tire was almost ten yards behind my target. I am just glad it didn't hit my big quad trailer with the nice tires. I think I got lucky since this was the last day of tire season. David

Did you have a tag, or was it a landowner tag type thing.

That's too funny!!!! :D :P  :P But I don't think the wife would let me mount one of those. The only critters I shoot like that are the slow 8x8x16 blocks and they don't treat a broadhead very good.

GREAT SHOT!!! kill sight photos and story. What more can you ask for?

Hey, how about another "guess the score" contest. Since it is one of the smaller subspecies, I'm not sure if it is a world record contender or not?

I still have a few very old (1960ish) ones laying around in my garage. :P

At what age do they regress and start to go downhill :P

They just roamed away. But these are the older "hardcore" breed. they look nothing like todays "soft" ones we have running around. :)
