AZP&Y Report post Posted July 6, 2010 Amanda, I read reviews on this camera back in April and it says it takes up to 16gb card. It also states that on the covert website. Have they advised just up to 8gb card? 16 gb is a lot of memory and I know you could leave a camera out for a long time with that much memory. 8 MP pictures should be very nice ! Just wanted to see if you had any other info... Thanks, Doug AzP&Y
CouesWhitetail Report post Posted July 6, 2010 Yes, they dialed it back to 8 GB. Technically, nothing has changed and it will still take a 16 GB card, but the company said that sometimes when using those high GB cards that the camera became a little less reliable in writing to the card. So they prefer to only tell people to use up to 8 GB cards. You can try to use a 16 GB card and likely it will work ok, but the company didn't want any instability issues and so the manufacturer said to only advertise it as up to 8 GB. AZP&Y Report post Posted July 6, 2010 Ok - thanks for the reply. *8gb should be plenty... I know with the wildviews they really go haywire when you use a higher GB card than they suggest. Can't wait to see some of the 8 megapixel photos of coues bucks! AzP&Y
