daryl_s Report post Posted July 1, 2010 Okay, so I know I am very much in the minority here but I will be watching the Argentina vs. Germany soccer game Saturday morning . I will be at my sister in laws house in Lakeside and don't really want to watch the game there. Does anybody know of any place in the Lakeside area that will be open early Saturday for the game???? Okay, now you can start laughing BTW, go Argentina!!!!!!
catclaw Report post Posted July 1, 2010 You can't be serious?? I doubt you will find a sports bar in Lakeside or Showlow for that matter that is open in the morning. I've got a parade to watch in Eagar. I am tired of this heat. It is 113 at my house right now (Thursday at 4 pm) yuk!
daryl_s Report post Posted July 1, 2010 I'm as serious as can be Dennis!!! Maybe if the US was still in it and playing then there would be a place to watch it. Looks like I'm going to have to watch the game at my sister in laws house. Either way it will be nice to get out of the valley heat. I'm out of here in about a half hour. catclaw Report post Posted July 2, 2010 Have fun in Lakeside! I am leaving for Round Valley in the morning. This heat is so oppressive! Go Argentina!
desertdog Report post Posted July 2, 2010 So you want to be seen in public watching soccer. Its bad enough watching in the privacy of your own home but to do something so vile right out in front of everyone for all to see......well that is just wrong. Just kidding hope you enjoy the game. bonecollector Report post Posted July 2, 2010 Not sure what time the game starts but maybe the Native new yorker will be open in showlow.
standman Report post Posted July 2, 2010 Not sure how early they open but the bar at Los Corrales in Pinetop will have it. They had it on at lunch today anyway. Brian
daryl_s Report post Posted July 3, 2010 The game starts at 6:30 am so that's why I was asking. I don't think there are enough Argentina fans up here to merit any place opening up that early, I was just hoping I was wrong and that someone would know. USA is my team but I like Argentina too because I lived there for a few years and have many friends there. Needless to say I will be up bright and early ready to watch the "albiceleste" send Germany home
catclaw Report post Posted July 3, 2010 Wow, Aregnetina got their A$$ handed to them by the Krauts! I see Germany winning the whole thing!
