Red Rabbit Report post Posted June 28, 2010 While looking for elk, I noticed this gobbler making a rub on a small sapling. I had always thought these to be made by inferior buck deer, but alas, I now have a new secret way to locate gobblers beside looking for tracks, drags and droppings. (Well, not a secret anymore since I told y'all.) Another of the group of three gobblers on his way to making a rub. Doug~RR

Mrs125coues Report post Posted June 28, 2010 That is interesting to know. My husband and I were up in unit 8 this weekend and saw a rub real close to the ground and commented on how that must be a small deer??? But we had chased turkeys in that area...now we know. Thanks for sharing that information.
