So this should probably go in the funniest thing thread but this happened to me this weekend at my wifes reunion in Eagar.

My wife and I are looking at camp trailers and we decided we would borrow her aunts extra camp trailer for the reunion this year. Well we get up to Eagar Friday night and it is raining cats and dogs, so I called her aunt to see if we could just pick up the camper Sat. morning, ended up having to get it that night because they keep it in a friends shop yard and the gate was unlocked for me. She tells me it is the only camper in the yard so not to worry. So I drive down in the pouring rain to get the trailer with my brother in law. We pull up and go into the yard and pull up to the trailer. We get out and get the trailer all hitched up and I mentioned to my brother in law(as we cut the rope holding the wooden patio to the trailer) that it looks like someone has been living in it. Well we give it little thought and as we inspect the trailer we note that the regist. is expired, the wire harness is wrong and there are no safety chains, of course being the rednecks we are we don't let little things like that stop us . We pull the trailer out and park it at my inlaws overnight. The next morning we hitch up and drive it up to the reunion site and as well pull in my wife runs out and says "Dont unhitch it you have the wrong trailer!" and I am thinking yeah right I was not born yesterday. So then more people come out and tell me the same thing and I am still thinking ahh a coordinated effort to pull one over on me. Until my wifes aunt and uncle walk out and say that is not our trailer! Then I worried a little. I made my wifes uncle go back into town with me since he is a sheriff and would back up my story and help me get the right stinking trailer! I must say that my experience with grand larceny was exciting it sure is nice that it was in front of 80-90 of my wifes relatives!! The moral of the story-- There is always more than one trailer in the yard, so at least find out the color of the trailer you are picking up !!!

That is a clasic for sure. I think I will laugh about that for weeks. It takes one kind of man to do what you did but it takes a very diferent kind to share it with other folks. Thanks Fat Foot that has made my day.I hope you get a trailer. We baught one off of this site and love it so far.

i'm surprised ya didn't wake up the wino that was livin' in it. heck, mosta them folks in RV wouldn't a knowed it was gone for a week or so. i useta have a mule that i had to go look for everytime i needed him. seems somebody else always had a better need for him than me. once i was in the middle o' nowhere on a borrowed horse, because i couldn't find my mule, when a guy rode up on him. i traded him rigs and made him take the horse back. just another day in RV. Thats hilarious,.... just think if they were in it and had no way to let you know once you started driving down the road. They would have shoot.

Honey did you send off that monthly payment I gave you.

Good one.

ugh! Have you ever been inside a trailer going down the road? I can tell you, you will only do it once! I did it for about 5 miles, and was about to puke after the third turn.

That is hillarious. I was expecting someone to get out of the trailer and tell you that you had the wrong one. "what the $#%^ are you doing pulling my trailer"

Glad we can laugh at it!

Trailers sure do make those long cold nights much easier, but they make you not want to get up in the morning! B)
