azcouesandelk Report post Posted June 23, 2010 Well I just had my new baby delivered to me last week, and I still haven't named her. Still waiting for the scope that is supposed to be on it to come in (Leupold 6.5-20x50 VX-III w/ fine duplex), but I figured I would put my old scope on it and take a couple of pictures. It is built off a Remington 700 action that has been blueprinted, has a McMillan Classic stockthat is pillar bedded, 26 inch Hart barrel with a #5 contour and is chamberd in .280 Ackley Improved. The gun weighs in a little heavy at just under 9 pounds with no scope, but should be a tack driver! I cannot wait to start working up some loads and getting this bad boy out to the range. rclouse79 Report post Posted June 23, 2010 That is a cool looking gun. I was looking through the midway catologue and saw they sell paint kits for gun stocks. Has anyone had any luck painting a black synthetic stock? I was toying around with the idea of painting mine but I am afraid I would screw it up.
