24B Burn area

Recommended Posts

I was up scouting in and around the burn area north of superior on Friday. Got to a wash where I dare not cross in my 2wd truck so we got out and looked around. Saw this track right on the trail next to the washed out creek. Looks like a biggun and it was within a few hours as there was rain overnight! Wished he had shown himself as we had a tag and gun.

The burn area seems to be scorched earth in places with strips and patches of green here and there. Some areas lots of folks normally might hunt are "toast" so the pressure will likely be farther northeast and north west of superior. These areas that burnt, may be okay, but just the look of it is amazing. Saw a cuple USFS guys hiking around and taking samples but only one other vehicle who was likely deer hunting. Quail coveys were everywhere! Wow.

I was going to say he just needed to follow the money trail.

I have been hearing a lot of people talking about how their area was burned out, so they had to put in somewhere else. It does seem like a lot of animals would move back in the burn area to releive the presure.
