Coues 'n' Sheep Report post Posted June 21, 2010 Well it was determined that it is time to add one to my Heeler pack this weekend..... ... My Bride gave me the thumbs up! Looking for a Female Heeler puppy.... I'd like her parents (especially the father) to not have a narrow head.... and I'd like for the parents to show very protective traits. This will be my Wife's companion so I'd like to raise a predictable but protective dog for her. I'd prefir if one or both parents were blue with rust like Zip... Broken Wheels Report post Posted June 21, 2010 Good to see somebody else that appreciates the breed and wants specific points on them. I was fortunate enough to own a really fine blue healer from a lady that raised them in Louisiana and he was 55# of brute strength and all front shoulder, neck and square head! I could go hunting and leave him in camp with the wife and kids and not worry a bit as he was always watchful and protective of all three of them. I didn't even train him to be that way, it was just the way he was and I miss him since his passing a couple years ago. Should you get any information on a breeder locally please pass the information along to me as I have convinced the wife to "allow me" to bring another healer home to grow up with our labs!
