bowhuntinmaniac Report post Posted July 4, 2010 The meat seeker head is no good for hunting large game. I had a friend shoot 2 does in ND last year with them. Even though both were hit in the vitals, neither left a blood trail. WE found the 2nd one the next day and the exit hole was the size of a dime and the blood never reached the bottom of the chest. You can still get the Steelheads on Ebay.
bobbyo Report post Posted July 5, 2010 Why waste time and money? You will get a Headache . Steel heads have out penetrated fixed blades also. What could be better than a dead elk. In addition no broadhead flies better than Rocket. Here is what you do. Throw away the other broadheads. Put field tips on your arrows to save your block. Rocketflight=field tip flight. No headache. Bob Does anyone else hate that film a block target leaves on their arrows.
hoghntr Report post Posted July 14, 2010 Great test but it tells me one very important thing... I will never buy a block target for broadheads. "ALSO NOT GOOD FOR CROSSBOWS" SAYS MY BLOCK WALL!!!!
