The Bowtech Soldier and Hoyt Kobalt are a couple great bows. They have a lot range for ajustment so they can grow with them so your not needing to buy a new bow every couple of years.

I bought my 8 year old son a diamond edge by bowtech. The bow has adjustments for weight and draw length which will allow him to grow with the bow and will go to 50lbs so he can hunt with it in a couple years.

My son weighs about 68 lbs and has been shooting since he was two .He is just know ready to pull over 30 lbs. it would depend on the size of your son as well.

P.S. I will get a price to you on the bowtech. and the price for trykon jr is 299.00
