Are new guns crap???

Well, here is the situation. I bought a brand new Beretta 686 Onyx Pro 20 ga. back a few months back in May and had only shot it on the trap range only once and had shot a few pen birds while training prior to this opening weekend of dove season. While I was out yesterday afternoon, I noticed a large crack had developed right behind the trigger guard. This was the first time I had really even shot the thing! What gives! It's a new gun. I mean, when you pay a couple of thousand dollars for a product that carrys a name of quality such as Beretta, you would think you were pruchasing a quality good that you could have for the rest of your life. I guess I was wrong. Luckily, I had the foresight to pack along my little ol' 1922 SXS L.C. Smith .410 to get me through. And she never lets me down!!

I am still in west TX right now, but am headed back tomorrow to Tucson and hopefully, on Tuesday morning, I will get over to the sporting goods store where I purchased it and either get another one, or buy a different brand comepletly. I need a gun before Fri. because we are headed up to the Utah border on Fri. for the Blue Grouse opener.

I don't think new guns are crap, but every once in awhile, you get a lemon. Now you get to let Beretta prove just how a good a company they are by standing behind their product.

 

As most shotgunners know, Beretta is one of the oldest manufacturing companies in the world. They have been MFG'ing for over 400 years!. You don't stay afloat that long by crapping on your customers.
