It was a good hunt plus something extra

Went out early this morning

it was time for a dove hunt,

started walking down the wash

boy find out that was really hot!

Suddenly 100 yards in front of me

noticed a coyot walking the same wash,

he never noticed I was there

and tried with him to catch up

he played on me a dissapearing act

it was to far for my 7 1/2 dove shot.

On another direction I started to walk

and notice againt it was to hot

but was a good excuse to get in shape

for my future coues deer hunt.

Suddenly with the corner of my eye

saw something runnig really fast!!

it was a coyot came to realize

way to close to me,need it to fast react!

My adrenaline and senses went sky high

turn my body quick and shoulder my gun

it felt like time came to a complete stop

pull the trigger and boom a big blast!!

Six yards from me I had to walk

a predator hapened to bite the dust

another coyote was in the wash

but he's no more dead he's now

this is what predator control is all about.

My fellow members I have to go now

have to fix shotgun cause it got stuck

and also just came to find out

that to make peoms I really suck.

By the way I like your ever-changing hunter safety reminders in your tagline.

 

Yesterday I was out walking my dogs in the hills and some stupid teenagers were shooting an air rifle (didn't quite sound like a shotgun) at something. Not only were they within 1/4 mile of occupied buildings, but they were within a few hundred yards of me and my dogs and also in an area posted as a no shooting, no hunting area. When they saw us approaching, they came towards and shot as we walked by (we were on a dirt road!). Really gives hunters a bad name.
