Red Rabbit Report post Posted June 16, 2010 It's very windy today and sounds like it has potential to grow fast. Hopefully the tankers can squelch it. http://www.wildlandfire.com/hotlist/showthread.php?t=13976

HEADACHE Report post Posted June 24, 2010 I have to shed some tears cuz I have a tag in there...... and we hunt real close to where that is..... oh brother! It would probably be out if the dang shultz pass didn't go up like it did.
triton Report post Posted June 27, 2010 I was on top of Sitgreaves Mtn on Fathers Day when the Schultz fire started. The Eagle rock fire I was on, was pretty much contained at that time and never spread anymore after that. There was still smoldering stump holes in there Thurs with groups of cow elk feeding on the patches of green in the burnt areas (With the smoldering stumps next to them). So I think that it wont affect your hunt that much. Good Luck in Sept.!!

azslim Report post Posted June 30, 2010 His story is true, I was about a mile away to the S/SE on Father's Day, went in by Spring Valley Work Center. A couple of times on the way out I saw elk feeding in green patches while stumps smoldered and burned around them, one night was 3 cows, the next was 2 decent bulls - I was surprised about what I saw sticking out of their heads already.
