I'm toast

As I sit here tonight on cwt, after work, my wife hands me a card and a present. I smart off by saying it isn't my birthday yet and she informs me it's our anniversary. Boy do I feel like an a$$. I tried to make excuses like I knew it was but it wasn't going to happen. How could I have forgotten?

 

It's been 33 years and how do I correct this one? I can't believe I forgot. Is it excuseable?

I was close to your boat. I actually didn't forget but I didn't get the card for my wife that she got for me. It was our 25th and I took her to breakfast and said I was waiting for a deal before I got her something. Since the 25th is the Silver I was sure glad when Ben posted the silver & turquoise deal, the wife made out like a bandit with all her loot and I am in good graces for another year.

Of course it's excuseable!! To make it up to her, tell her you plan to take her to the OE4A banquet as a anniversary date and make sure you get her something special that she likes for it. Give her a bouquet of flowers we can put on the table for her or give her a limo ride to the banquet or something. Or have Eddy make a special announcement at the banquet. That way she gets recognized as special in front of the whole crowd And of course all night you will have to explain to everyone that it's not really your anniversary and you forgot...so all kinds of people will give you grief and she will get to gloat!

A couple years ago my wife was fussing around the house, I could tell she was upset. I couldn't figure why and finally she say's,' you forgot didn't you'. I'm searching my brain and say,'What'!, she say's,'our anniversary'.

 

I thought for a second and said,' today's November 26th', she say's 'yes'.

 

I say,'we were married in April'

 

DOH!
