Red Rabbit Report post Posted June 8, 2010 There was a small fire south of the Flagstaff airport yesterday, and another 6 acre fire is burning today north of the SF Peaks near Hostetter Tank on FR418. I was south of Williams over the weekend and it was green with irises blooming.
bonecollector Report post Posted June 9, 2010 It could be a very bad year for wildland fires with all the moisture and growth.
azslim Report post Posted June 9, 2010 guys, there are usually a couple fires started in the state every day, but if you don't keep up with them you wouldn't know because they get resources on them real quick.
Red Rabbit Report post Posted June 9, 2010 azslim, I believe you had posted this wildlandfire link elsewhere. Pretty good for the initial small fires that are not on the bigger list like inciweb. http://www.wildlandfire.com/hotlist/forumdisplay.php?f=22 http://inciweb.org/state/3/
azslim Report post Posted June 9, 2010 Yep, in addition to inciweb there are swcc and nifc websites. NIFC is the parent of SWCC. These are govt run and don't seem to get updated as quickly. http://www.nifc.gov/fire_info/nfn.htm http://gacc.nifc.gov/swcc/
