coocoo4coues Report post Posted September 1, 2005 I was wondering if there are any "finger" shooters out there (shooting compound, not recurve). I'm hunting with an old model Browning "entry level" bow. It only allows me to use a flipper rest, which is too dangerous to shoot with a release. I'm set at about 65 lbs. Last Saturday, I missed a 30 yard shot at a beautiful 4 point coues up in AZ Area 29. I shot high. I find it extremely difficult to "stalk" these animals. Any tips? I'd like to hear them! TREESTANDMAN Report post Posted September 1, 2005 I've attempted stalking these coues deer quite a few times and have yet to kill one with this method. I would say that keeping the wind right is the most important thing to watch. Wait till they bed down, a lot of the time coues bucks will actually hold tight while bedded which sometimes allows even the clumsiest of us to stalk w/in bow range. This method is a blast!! Kudos to any of you have accomplished this great feat!!!
