Snapshot Report post Posted May 30, 2010 Hey gang, Made it too Montana without anything else blowing up on my truck or RV. It has been cold, snowy, windy, but great to be here. I am a short walk from world class flyfishing. I am staying at the confluence of cabin creek and the Madison river between Hebgen and Quake Lake. Fish Report = Excellent. I fish after work, because it stays light enough until 9:00 p.m Have caught numerous Rainbow trout up to 20", and one pig of a brown trout of 22" Met the Actor William Devane who is a regular at the resort cafe. He is a passionate flyfisherman and a great guy. I work in the flyshop most of the time so he is always int here. I wil go fishing with him one of these days. Don't have any pics right now but I will update soon. There is no WIFI Or cell phone signal where I am at so I have to drive to West Yelowstone to the Internet cafe. Best Wishes to all of you. Snapshot Report post Posted June 9, 2010 We have had 11 straight days of rain, with average daytime temps of 48-56 degrees. The rivers are blown out with muddy water because of the rain and snowmelt, so lake fishing is the way to go right now. After 12 days of work I finally got a couple days off. Headed for west yellowstone on some errands and fun time. I added a few pics. But the rainy weather is not so great for picture taking, but will add more later. I busted up my left big toe I fished until dark and tripped on a rock in the river. As I tried to regain my balance I slammed my left foot into another big rock. Don't want to have to wear a soft cast so I will just hobble around until it heals. There are some small herds of Mountain goat and Bighorns down here in the canyon and up in the cliffs. I will see if I can manage to get some pics. This is the confluence of Cabin Creek and the Madison river between Hebgen and quake lake. You can see all the muddy water being dumped into the madison. My Travel Trailer is about 100 yards from the right side of the picture. A pic of the Madison Range taken from the Madison River Valley.

Snapshot Report post Posted June 27, 2010 Greetings! Hope you are all doing well, and I hope you all do well in the deer draw. Been having a problem with my camera, but I will be going up to Bozeman soon to buy a new one, and will post some good pics in the near future. Caught my biggest brown trout to date 22 1/2" estimated 4 1/2 - 5 lbs. The dang fish drug me 500 yards down river before I could land him. I must have battled that fish for half and hour. I have seen pictures of 30" fish cuaght from this part of the river. Went into the park to fish the Gibbon River on my day off. It is one of my favorite streams. The fish don't get that big in the Gibbon, but they are plentiful. Hitting well on dry flies. The Salmon fly hatch should be coming up the Madison soon. Looking forward to good action on huge flies. Take care! Brent
