Outdoor Writer Report post Posted May 30, 2010 "Individuals 9 years of age or older may take either the online or classroom version of the course. If a student has not yet reached their tenth birthday but have successfully completed a course, their certification will become valid on their 10th birthday." lefty Report post Posted June 6, 2010 they can take it when they're 9. an example. my son turns 9 in august he will take the course sometime after august. then i'll put him in for deer, elk, antelope, etc. for next years draw. when he applies he's 9, but by the time the hunt starts he's 10, so he's goods to go.
