bobbyo Report post Posted June 7, 2010 Hey Gino, While you are finished sighting in that pretty new bow, you might want to work a little on that beer belly of yours!! hahaha YOU Obviously know nothing about Bow Shooting. That is not a BEER Belly! That is a sophisticated high end " BOW STABLIZER". It helps balance windage alignment and significantly reduces vibration. It could even provide help with that dreaded fourth axis of shooting alignment. Bob
bobbyo Report post Posted June 7, 2010 So Hoyt steals Darton cams and a bow tech riser(Mid limb support)and that makes this the best new bow? I guess if you steal the best parts from the best manufactures people will say you are innovative. The only thing that is truly Hoyt is that stupid riser bridge around the handle. I hate that thing. Mathews still rules even though they are now stealing PSE'cam, who stole it from darton. Who probably stole it frome someone else. Copy it if if you can. I mean catch us if you can. Coach Report post Posted June 7, 2010 Congrats on the weight loss! Hey, she still looks better than you do. I've lost a good 20 - 25 lbs this year too. It's a good year for trimming the spare tire, I guess. I'm thinking my 45 pound pack *should* feel more like 25 when elk season rolls around. Kinda nice to have everthing fit baggy, but my kids have already commented on my new "gangbanger style" with my shorts low and underwear sticking out. Hit 184 and change this morning. This time last year I was prolly 208-210. At 6' that's a place I haven't been since I got married about 150 years ago - lol.

Coues 'n' Sheep Report post Posted June 17, 2010 Been down to Jeremy's shop almost every other day, buying this... adding that... changing this.... each week this Hoyt Maxxis 35 becomes more and more perfect for me..... Last night I customized it with my own custom riser dampening system... added a couple ounces of weight but even my wife noticed that it aimed a touch better for me and it was even quiet'er! Just can't wait to shoot again in at Sunrise! It has been a good 8 or more years since I have gone up there.... I was shooting a long axel to axel bow then as well and shooting this good.... I am Stoked!!! On a side Note..... I drug my wife down to shoot Leagues at the shop the other night for her first time.... she had stage fright...HaHa! She struggled at first.... but as the night wore on... she came alive! Her last group with her new Hoyt Vixen was a 9,9,10,9,9... 46! She is now hooked and can't wait till the next league night in 2 weeks!! That new hoyt has improved her groups in a Huge way.... she went from and effective range of inside 30 yds.... to 40 yds in the first week of shooting this bow! I just can't wait for August!!!!! My wife now looks & finds me at Chasin' a Dream... almost everytime she is in town... ... she just walks in the door with a smirk on her face and says, " Alright... time to go.... we are gunna be late!" Way better than having to drag your husband out of the Bar, I reckon!
wackycouesaddict Report post Posted June 17, 2010 Im sorry but bows do not make you shooot better. Its all you unless those new hoyts have lifes and can walk and talk every shot is you and only you. Yes there are different bows and some are better then others in there own respect. speed shock smoothness. Yet its still a life less object that you must shoot. i know guys that shoot old bow better then the guys with brand new ones. Its you and only you that shoots better sorry just listened to my buddies tell me how great there new bows make them shoot. But im done ranting just my two cents. Tyler Tyler, It is I that am sorry, but at 17 you don't have enough bows in your past or archery experience to have that kind of "two cents".... I have shot many bows... and now and again... a new one is the Right one... and if it fits you better than the last one... you know it.... instantly your groups tighten... It has nothing to do with how fast the bow is... it has to do with how it aims. Have not shot a bow as good as this bow since my Q2 XL was new.... I assure you that new equipent out performs old equipment just like new computers, new trucks, new quads, new technology is not a scam... it is sience... and science propelled us to where we are and to where we are going... I'm not saying that you are wrong all together... in your lil' pond that might be mostly true... however.... in the grand scheme of things.... for those of us that "Live It" not just "Play It"... it is not the case. There are many traditionalist out there that are Great shooters and they will not even look at the new stuff.... but any guy that shoots a 15 year old Martin and XX75's is not going to hold a candle to me or most of the guys/gals here shooting top shelf equipment at any distance out past 10 or 15 yards....Period! Fact not fiction...
