I talked to someone at Chasin' A Dream in Payson about some bowfishing gear, and was really impressed with that guy's knowledge and willingness to help, even though he didn't have in stock what I was after. You just get a certain feel from a bowshop that they are there to be helpful and I got that feeling from one call - Made me want to do business with them in the future, FWIW.

That would have been Jeremy.... he is behind the counter all day every day. And if you want it in stock, I'd bet money he can have it for you in a few days. Hope you make the trip down there, Jason... we could do lunch.

Guys....

Bows are like underwear.... they have to fit YOU...and no one else.... Shoot several bows from Each line... If you don't then you really have nothing to compare to. I have been wanting to switch to Hoyt for almost 2 years, ever since I shot my first Alphamax.... it was just that sweet.... I know what I am looking for in a bow for me and I can tell in a couple of arrows if it is gunna work..... right now the Hoyt is THE Bow for me.... in a couple years who knows? Shoot the best now and worry about rest later!!! ;) Jeremy has lots of bows down at the shop to test drive.... it is worth trip to do so.

NOTE: Chasin' a Dream is sponsoring a Raffle for a Free Bow (any new bow on the shelf except the carbon matrix) The tickets can be puchased all this week at the shop, $10 each or 11 for $100... all proceeds go to charity in the name of Randy Morder... stop in and get your tix this week...... the drawing is Statuday!!!

Oh My.... I shot my new bow last night.... all I can say is WOW!! Like Fireworks!!! Tina also shot her new Hoyt "Vixen" .... we both have them about 50% dialed in and are shooting better than we did with our old bows!!!! Thank God the Rim Country has a shop like Chasin' a Dream Outfitters!!!! Jeremy You Are The Man!! Thanks Buddy!!!!

We will be heading back to Jeremy's shop later today to finish setting up and accessorizing them.... the more weight I add to that bow the more 10's it shoots!! Soooo stoked that I made this move!!! If anyone is in Payson today this Hoyt Maxxis 35 is a thing of Beauty.... worth stopping in to look at..... just looking at it is like getting ready to jump into a Dodge Viper for a test drive! It is Sexy!! Black Riser..... Camo Limbs.... 1 Flo Orange/black cable (with Flo Green serving).... 1 Flo Green/black cable (with flo Orange servings).... and the string is Flo Orange/black & Flo Green/black.... Black custom 8 pin Axcell site....and a black Trophy Taker rest (which will get some more "custom" work today..LOL!)....Whooooo Weeeee! She looks Sharp Now!!! ;) :D Can't wait to start shooting it at home this weekend!!

Tina is shooting the new Hoyt Vixen...... Man.... it is Smoooooth!! She had cut her groups in 1/2 in less than an hour of shooting it vs. her old Martin Jaguar..... That bow is going to get blod in August for sure!

Jeremy spent tons of time with both of us last night... twisting a cable here.... adjusting there.... Buy a bow in his shop is not like pulling one off the rack at most shops.... your bow fits you... when you leave!!

Thanks to Jeremy, Clint, Kristy........and Zack :P ..... For a great time with our new bows last night!!! Can't wait to finish up today!!

More to Come! Pics as well coming soon!! ;) :D

So, what are the main differences between the Maxxis and the Alphamax? I already had my mind made up to get a AM35. I shoot LH, so it's hard to just go into a shop and start shooting bows until you find the right one. No one wants to stock LH bows.

DB... Jeremy is working hard to make it happen for you Lefty guys.... he is working with the Rep as we speak... to get a Maxxis and a Carbon Matrix Demo in the store for the Left handed shooters.... He has had a bunch of lefty's in there already and recognizes the need to help put equipment on the shelf for you guys as well! To answer your question.... they are very similar bows (AF & Maxxis). They took just a few small Pro-shooter recomendations on the AF and added cable rollers to make the Maxxis even more quiet, smooth, and have Zero hand shock... for guys like you and I who like a longer bow there is no sacrifice in Speed, I am shooting about 290 fps in my hunting setup... I'd not want it any faster, so I am very happy!

Contact Jeremy and talk with him... he will take care of you.... you won't regret it. ;)

Thanks. I'll stop in the next time I am in Payson. I have a few scouting clients lined up for rim units this year, so I will be through there at least every other weekend starting in July.

I'll shoot to get her inside a 2 1/2" group in the next week... Anyone want to lose a few bucks at League night over at Chasin' a Dream???? :D ;)

Waiting for Jeremy's wife, Kristy, to send me the pics from the shop of us shooting our new Hoyts...then I'll post them as proof.... but here is one I snapped with my phone before ol' LARDOG could sneeak out today!! He ain't as pretty as me but he has good taste in shirts... ;)

Shot a few dozen arrows in these last 2 days.... man am enjoying this new bow. Tina is sooo glad that she decided to get the Vixen... her confidence in this bow grows with every group she shoots. She is already wanting to turn the poundage up from what she used to shoot her old bow at! Shot my first 6 arrows a 50 yds today and was very pleased with a 3 1/2 inch group all right to left about an inch high.... Lil' adjust.... and she should be right on now. ;) Have not had this much fun sighting in a bow in a long time! I have so much confidece everytime I squeeze the trigger....
