I emailed Amanda photos of a buck I shot Saturdy morning so you will see them soon. I had awesome weekend, seen many bucks and a few bigger then the one I shot, they just kept winding me 26' up in my treestnd, it was like hunting turkey's as nervice as they were.

On a serious note allways wear saftey equipment when utilizing your treestand, that includes climbing up and down. I had a good friend fall yesterday afternoon and had to take him to the hospital :P . It only takes a second to fall and it could be a very serious fall, so be careful.

Well we already have two, and it's only the first weekend! Good job on the buck, I hope we get to see the photos soon.

He has 6 fractures in his wrist and a severe concussion. I hope he is going to be OK. Should find out more tomorrow. Thanks!

Ouch! :( Let us know how he is doing, it's too bad this happened to a fellow hunter on opening weekend. :(

Hey Bowhunt, congratulations on Saturday's success. Twenty-six feet up in a tree? Is it a pine tree? How far was your shot? I too hunt from a treestand, only I'm 15 feet off the ground in a cedar. Saw many bucks. One was a toad, maybe 110". Been chasing him for two years. Thands for the info.

I always try to get up at least 25' (if you can find a pine) and usually they won't smell me, but not Friday. I shot my buck from a Double Bull blind at 32 yards, I set it up just before daylight in the morning and the buck had no idea I was around. Those blinds do get really hot inside though its like being in an oven.
