bowhunter4life Report post Posted August 30, 2005 due to my open heart surgery on march 15th I went to my target bow a martin couger 2002 model 51 pounds xx78 superslams 2314 28 1/2" length.100 grain muzzy 3 blade.shooting around 230 feet per second. the arrow went in through the front shoulder quarting on, arrow went through both lungs and pocked through to just in front of the belly.the blood trail was like following the yellow brick road. you dont have to shoot fast or use the hottest iteam on the market.you need to be able to have confidence in your gear and be able to hit what you are aiming at. I've used the same set up for over 10 years now with great success.only change is lowering bow down from 68 pounds. with this combo have taken bear.turkey, buffalo, mule deer.javelina.goats and many others. good hunting to all mike
