Rag Horn

Round One

Recommended Posts

I headed out to check a trail cam this Saturday. Had a good time got some good pics. My camera got in a fight with a bear and unfortunately the bear won round one. He busted the strap holding the cam to the tree and then rolled the camera around the forest floor for awhile. Then he heartlessly left my camera face down in the mud. Not before I was able to snap some pics though. Any guesses as to what pic 5 is of?

#5 looks like a deer. I've got hundreds of photos that look just like that.

The bears are out and moving around. I had one that came up to my cam and luckily only scratched it and didn't do any real damage. Glad yours was damaged too bad and thanks for the pix! My first thought on pix #5 was mtn. lion but it is hard to tell!

Yeah, after looking at it some more, the fur does look different than the other deer pics. Longer hair and all going in one direction. Most of the deer hair is tufted up, short and grows in all different directions.

The part that still looks a like a deer is the long skinny neck.

I agree with you on the neck, and even the ears could be just the tips of deer ears layed back. I was mainly going off the hair pattern.........course I am pretty rookie at cam photo-ology......looks funner than heck if you could sit and watch that kind of game coming through.

Nice job Rag Horn.....next time you need help with your trail cam this rookie will go with ya :P
