You should do fine on the cow hunt, we've got a ton of elk, just do your homework, and hunt hard in the mornings, best time to hunt. Everything by this time has been hunted for quit a while. Little skittish but will be doable. Good luck.

Any place can be good, just a matter of trying to get away from everybody. I guide here in Williams so the info is good. Have fun

Just my 2 bits:

Maybe try the country around Seligman, more specificlly north of Pica Camp just on top of the aubrey cliffs. I've seen large groups of cows there during the hunt before. There are several roads going to lots of country once you start going up into the aubreys. If you can scout a day or two before you shopuld do just fine. If you can't scout, look for sign and concentrate in the area. Good luck, hope you fill the tag!!!!

Thanks Grim. I am taking my son with me also. We both got drawn for whitetail and cow elk. This will be his first elk hunt. Hope we come home with 2. Might need another freezer.
