Coues Slayer Report post Posted April 28, 2010 These illegals arent busting their butts for nothing, they are improving their life and feeding there families in Mexico where they only make $.50 cent / hour. .... My question why punish the business owner the one that creates jobs and revenue for the state when the Government is the one that created this problem. Two statements taken out of your post that dont really make sence when looked at together. How can they be busting their butts here and paying for food back home while making revenue for the state? They dont pay taxes, right? No state income there. If they dont spent nearly all their paycheck here and send just a little bit back to mexico the state is loosing money, its going out of the country. Not all illegals are paid under the table cash, usually just the ones off the corners. I pay my workers a check from my payroll company and they take all taxes, SS, Medicare, workmens comp etc. Allot of the time they use fake SS numbers but the state is still getting there money. They work hard, and send allot of their profits back home to feed there family. Your right some money is being sent to mexico and probably allot but my point is, who wants to do this job. Still no takers. I will add to my job post. Need 30 Landscapers must be legal US citizens and must be willing to work in 120 plus degree tempatures 8 - 10 hours a day 5 days a week. $500.00 Hiring Bonus If you work for me and get drawn for a hunt you get to take off the whole hunt PAID. Still have 30 openings. You can start tomorrow.
.270 Report post Posted April 28, 2010 i guess some folks just don't get it. anytime you put skin color in the equation negatively, it's racist. you really have a dim view of things. this is about a helluva lot more than somebody trying to get rich mowing lawns. this is about the security of America on all fronts. our laws, finances, ethics, safety, security, plain ol' American way of life, are at stake. if you can't make a living without paying illegal aliens next to nothing then maybe it's time to look at a different career. if there is some sort of amnesty or guest worker program wages are going to go way up. the only way to keep things the way they are is to continue to break the law and keep folks in poverty. as far as all the boycotts, big deal. there are gonna be so many other states doing the same thing in the near future that it won't work. the same things were said about employee sanctions. racist, white people won't do the work, we're gonna go broke if we can't keep abusing the mexicans, we're gonna boycott ya, blah, blah, blah. all this law does is make it legal to enforce the laws we already have. i don't see why folks can't figger that out. The majority of us have made sacrifices earlier in our lives so we could better our education and/or skillset. I bet a lot of people on here have at one time "hacked it" in manual labor jobs outside in the summer, i have and do. I've played the game. I got an education, still take classes, work 40hrs a week and work whatever kind of side work I can get on the weekends.

They issued 25 or 6 new citizens their papers yesterday to be legal in the US. This happened down in Phoenix. They interviewed a lady said she had been working 10 years to get the paperwork taken care of. Guess what she said when she was done?? Sure am gald to be here, it was worth the wait and now I can be a part of this dream and contribute to this great country. Imagine come in legally, and contribute and benefit...... Then just down the street in Phoenix they busted a drop house with 70 illegals, one of them small enough to be carried in the arms of an adult. Coues Slayer, we all have our ax to grind, but there are proper avenues for this to happen legally. My dad had the same problem in Southern New Mexico running a pig farm, nobody wants to shovel sh!t. They helped hard working illegals get their papers so they didn't have to hide in the feed silos when Megre (sp) showed up.
cactusjack Report post Posted April 28, 2010 This is a touchy subject for all. The people saying that there aren't Americans willing to do the jobs do not remember the Meat plant raids from Colorado. Afterward the plants hired people with papers to do the job. I cant remember the exact number of people but it was amazing how many people lined up and took those jobs. When asked why they didn't apply earlier, they said something about it being an unfriendly work site towards non-spanish speakers. Since then has meat become unaffordable? It might have gone up a little. If I were in need of work, I would take you up on your offer. In college I worked on the produce markets also, from 3am to 11am and fit my classes in when they fit. If all companies only hired legal workers they would all be on the same playing field and be able to charge a fair price for their goods or services. We as consumers would pay more, but our State would benefit overall. Just sayin
DesertBull Report post Posted April 28, 2010 Coues Slayer here is your quote: My answer:: I make a great living and so do most landscapers. If I was running a restaurant it wouldnt be a problem but its landscaping. I think you all might be suprised on how many restaurants (Outback steakhouse, Olive Garden, McDonalds etc that hire illegals). Your food you ate today was probably prepared by illegal at some point. From where I sit, you are the one profiting from the illegals, and you are bragging about it. Before college I worked construction (lathing), trimmed trees and worked fast food, now those jobs are not done by high school kids or college kids anymore. Why is that? Maybe people like you hire illegals and the kids dont feel like the fit in. Just sayin. BTW: Im not a racist. I have Latino blood in my veins also. I believe in the RULE OF LAW. one more point, People that think they are saving money are fooling themselves. The more money that is sent out of our country/state is less money Arizonans have to spend in your business. Thats why I try to shop local. You Stated: From where I sit, you are the one profiting from the illegals, and you are bragging about it. Before college I worked construction (lathing), trimmed trees and worked fast food, now those jobs are not done by high school kids or college kids anymore. Why is that? Maybe people like you hire illegals and the kids dont feel like the fit in. Just sayin My answer: How are college kids suppose to work from 5am 3 pm everyday in landscaping. Yes I am profiting from Illegals, but not bragging about it, I am saying give me some legit white guys that want to do the work. Kids dont fit in because they cant work like illegals. Like I said I am hiring. I am sure out of the 4,000 CWT members one member wants a job. Let me repeat I am hiring, you can all start tomorrow. I bet I dont get one member to apply. MY POINT EXACTLY. I will give everyone a starting bonus of $500.00 and will raise your rate to $12.00/ hr. Any takers???? why do they have to be "white guys"? Can't they be LEGAL hispanics (or white, asian, african american, etc etc etc)? I think what you are saying is that that ALL LEGAL people don't want to work? If you know that these people are forging Gov't documents (fake SS #'s) you are breaking the law.

Coach Report post Posted April 28, 2010 "I bet I dont get one member to apply. MY POINT EXACTLY." Exactly why your point is so stupid. You come on here bragging that you are a criminal and directly responsible for not only the destruction of coues habitat along the border, but our safety - so YOU can "earn a very nice living" and have more time to hunt than us. Are you so stupid that you can't see that the reason you are swimming in the gravy boat is because those of us living and working WITHIN the law are paying for YOUR cheap labor. Are you supplying them with medical insurance, of course not - they just use the emergency room and their costs are passed on to all of us. And when your labor pool bankrupts our state, destroys the effectiveness of our schools, we're somehow supposed to think you are a good guy because you make money off of it. You really need your head checked. And you think that because nobody on here would respond to your "offer for work" that you are somehow right? For starters, I would guess that the majority of folks on here are already gainfully, legally employed. The rest don't want to work for a criminal who puts his own needs above his neighbors. You may as well have come on here and bragged that you were making a really good living reselling the marijuana that comes across the border to our schoolkids. bradne Report post Posted April 29, 2010 Older article, but it shows what happens when companies knowingly hire illegal aliens. Company president, ten others, charged in worksite probe of Arizona drywall and stucco firm Case is first Arizona worksite investigation resulting in criminal charges TUCSON, Ariz. – The president of a Sierra Vista drywall and stucco company and 10 others face state and federal criminal charges today following a multi-agency probe into allegations the business knowingly hired illegal alien workers and conspired with counterfeit document vendors to obtain fraudulent work authorization cards for those employees. Those charged in the case include the president and seven other employees of Sun Drywall and Stucco, Inc., as well as three individuals suspected of supplying counterfeit work authorization documents to the company’s illegal alien workers. The charges against the Sun Drywall employees include conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens and conspiracy to knowingly hire illegal aliens. Those accused of supplying the counterfeit documents face state charges of identity theft. The criminal charges, the first ever brought in a worksite enforcement investigation in Arizona, were announced today at a news conference in Tucson held by the agencies involved in the 16-month probe, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Customs and Border Protection Border Patrol, the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division, and the Arizona Fraudulent Identity Task Force (AFIT). The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office and the Sierra Vista Police Department assisted federal agents with today’s takedown. U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona Daniel Knauss stated, “These serious charges should send a strong message that we expect all Arizona employers to start taking federal immigration laws seriously. I would like to extend our thanks to all the federal and state agencies that worked together to bring this case for prosecution.” Six of the suspects charged in the case were taken into custody today as federal and state authorities executed search warrants at several sites related to the investigation. Those locations included the company’s headquarters in Sierra Vista, the home of a Sun Drywall foreman, and residences suspected of housing counterfeit document mills. During today’s operation, authorities seized employee records, computers, and other evidence related to the case. In addition, agents also served search warrants at eight Sun Drywall job sites in residential subdivisions located in the Sierra Vista area, where they arrested eight unauthorized workers on administrative immigration violations. The illegal workers, all of whom are from Mexico, are being processed and detained by ICE. This morning, ICE set up a hotline for persons trying to locate family members they think may have been apprehended. The hotline number is 520-266-3975. Bilingual assistance will be available on the hotline. “We intend to search out employers who knowingly or recklessly hire unauthorized workers,” said Alonzo Peña, special agent in charge of the ICE Office of Investigations in Arizona. “ICE will use every authority within its power to shut down businesses that exploit an illegal workforce to turn a profit.” The defendants arrested today include: •Ivan Hardt, 44, of Sierra Vista, president of Sun Drywall, charged federally with conspiracy to knowingly hire illegal aliens; and conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens; •Carol Hill, 42, of Sierra Vista, human resource manager for Sun Drywall, charged federally with conspiracy to knowingly hire illegal aliens; and conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens; •Jose Gutierrez-Tapia, Sr., 50, of Bisbee, foreman for Sun Drywall, charged federally with conspiracy to knowingly hire illegal aliens; and conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens; •Joaquin J. Neave, 42, of Sierra Vista, a manager for Sun Drywall, charged federally with conspiracy to knowingly hire illegal aliens; and conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens; •Efrain Silvain-Avechuco, 36, of Mexico, block manager for Sun Drywall, charged federally with conspiracy to knowingly hire illegal aliens; and conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens; and •Omar Reyes, 25, of Sierra Vista, a Sun Drywall employee, charged federally with conspiracy to knowingly hire illegal aliens; and conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens; The investigation into Sun Drywall began in November 2005 after ICE received information that the company was engaging in illegal hiring practices. In December 2005, ICE agents reviewed the Form I-9s for 115 Sun Drywall employees and determined that 11 of them had used counterfeit Permanent Resident Alien cards known as “green cards” to obtain their jobs. Sun Drywall was provided with a list of the unauthorized workers. A subsequent review of wage reports subpoenaed from the Arizona Department of Economic Security showed that Sun Drywall continued to employ several of those workers, even after ICE advised the company about the employees’ illegal status. The multi-agency investigation also revealed that several of Sun Drywall’s unauthorized workers possessed counterfeit “green cards” bearing numbers belonging to other people. A conviction for conspiracy to knowingly hire illegal aliens, a class B misdemeanor, carries a maximum penalty of six months in prison in addition to other possible fines. A conviction for conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens carries a maximum penalty of five years, a $250,000 fine, or both.

Guest Bandido Report post Posted April 29, 2010 When I was a kid my dad would take me and a friend or two out to mm 4 east of town and drop us off at sunrise. We're talikng 13/14 yrs old. He'd pick us up in the evening. Sometimes we took our 22s and sometimes we wouldn't. We had all kinds of adventures. I don't go out there now. I had my windows broken by a rancher the last time I did. I saw all kinds of trash in a beautiful box canyon and it smelled like a portapot. At the top of a mtn I saw more trash. I used to see deer, coyotes, bunnies, and other wildlife. Now I (and the other outdoorsmen I know) avoid that area. And other places too. These places were ours before the dopers and udas even knew they existed. I used to spend days on end hunting deer and see only a few hunters or maybe a rancher. Now I can't leave my p/u in a canyon because I can't keep an eye on it. I used to stay out for a night or two knowing my p/u would be there undamaged. Most likely by someone who thinks I am up to no good. I used to spend my time looking for deer. Now I look for people so I can avoid them. I used to be able to distinguish between hunters and udas - camo and/or rifles. Now it's impossible to tell good guys from bad guys. Mexico is now telling it's people to avoid AZ. But their president doesn't tell them to do it LEGALLY. I've heard radio stations encouraging people to cross - it's their "right" they say. It's a money thing! It's not in Mexico's best interest to stop the ILLEGAL traffic with so much money going to Mexico. All these winers crying about the "new law". Was it legal to be in this country (or any country for that matter) without documentation before? They don't care until it affects them. The drugs are ok until their kid is caught making some fast money or gets hooked. They care more about "profiling" until they get broken into or overrun in their own house. Years back a neighbor was held prisoner in her own house while a smuggler did his thing. Now that family cares. If the illegals were pink with purple pokadots would it change anything? Personally I will put up with the checks and even argue the "where are you going and for what purpose" BS if it means keeping illegals out. I want my mtns back. I want my country back! Hiring them and supporting them doesn't help get it back. I wonder how many of the people complaining about this are making money from the ILLEGAL trade? p.s. I could still use a job this summer and a $500 sign on bonus would be great. But if I see something that harms my country I will stand up and be counted - LEGALLY. Peace. Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted April 29, 2010 WOW gonna have to call that gal second top of the list there.....I went to school with her..... Lots of angles to the debate.....Texas is now on the band wagon, they want to pass a similar law... A Republican Texas lawmaker plans to introduce a tough immigration measure similar to the new law in Arizona, a move state Democrats say would be a mistake. Rep. Debbie Riddle of Tomball said she will push for the law in the January legislative session, according to Wednesday's editions of the San Antonio Express-News and Houston Chronicle. "The first priority for any elected official is to make sure that the safety and security of Texans is well-established," said Riddle, who introduced a similar measure in 2009 that didn't get out of committee. "If our federal government did their job, then Arizona wouldn't have to take this action, and neither would Texas." The Arizona law would require local and state law enforcement to question people about their immigration status -- and make it a crime for immigrants to lack registration documents. This Riddle gal on the news this morning said if she gets pulled over she has to show ID what is the big problem with that......then she went on to say, if it means packing a green card to document legality then do it and make sure you wear clean underwear in case you get in a wreck
