So today they had hundreds in protest against the 1070 walk out of school, high school students.

So lets say tomorrow we go ahead and organize a student walk out in support of the bill.

You guys down there start the ball rolling.

What I am really curious about is how the media would handle such a display of student intrest all of the sudden in politics as they did today with their coverage.........

And watch how ugly it will turn if it happens.........

why worry about it? the kids that are for it want to stay in school, learn to do something beneficial and be a contributing member citizen. the kids that walked out are most likely gonna be fast food workers and minimum wage day labor anyway. and we gotta have cheeseburgers and car washers. it's just the circle of life. Most of the students who walked out don't want to see mama and pappi sent back to where they belong..and if they're under 18, EVEN THEY ARE US citizens, they too get a "vacation" and a good taste of their roots by getting to go with their parientes, courtesy of the State of AZ & the US Gov't.

Maybe then my wife and all the others who work in the school districts can get their jobs back with all that freed up space and new found money saved.

 Along with the pants half way down, don't forget the Oakland raiders cap turned sideways, oh, and the baggy jersey too.

It's real simple. If students want to organize a peaceful rally or protest on their own time (lunch, before school, etc.) that is fine, and that is how we voice our support or displeasure with our government. If they walk out of school in protest, that is unacceptable. They should be suspended for leaving campus, and loose priviliges such as athletic participation, prom, or graduation ceremony.

These rules apply for any issue in a high school. Any administrator who applies the rules differently based on their own beliefs is as pitiful as our elected officials in Washington who voted for the health care bill against the wishes of their constituents.

Kids can't be allowed to run the schools! If they are allowed to leave school to protest this issue, what will the next issue be?...maybe they will "need" to leave because the cafeteria food is not good enough! Then, if they don't get what they are protesting for, will the same administrtor support them in a riot, or street vandalism?

Our schools belong to our tax payers. They must not be the vehicles of social engineering for the few who run them.

Careful you guys or you will also be judged for racial profiling on this site with your comments leaning too heavily to the side of the majority. Those kids protesting and staging a walk out today was what we were accused of as "DITCHING" and we were punished accordingly. (Of course we were going tubing down the river and not attending political rallies) Now in our pathetic state of the children of the corn "dissing" all parents we are stuck with the consequences of not raising our children with a firm hand and strong moral beliefs and teachings!

This bill will work if it only forces the hands of the Fed's to step in and do their job as they have been asked to for what now, 30 years and running? Obama doesn't like this because as we send back hundreds of thousands of illegals that is just that many less potential candidates to run for President of the United States as he did illegally! Gotta go, better things to talk about like hunting and what to do with the return checks from not getting drawn for Elk or Antelope again!

When I was in high school in the late 70's (gasp!), there was a teacher strike and picketing line. We used it as an excuse to walk out of class for the day. ;)

This upsets me It goes to show the liberal garbage these Kids pick up in school. Send them out into the real world and let them figure it out, see if they are so interested in doing their walk outs after a few months on the job. Schools a whole other ball game and they don't understand the real effects til they can work to support themselves and illegals. When I was single and working I was paying as much as 20% in taxes from my check. Thats when the real education began....
