KGAINES Report post Posted August 18, 2005 http://espn.go.com/outdoors/hunting/news/2...11/2131453.html I didn't know that there weren't mountain lions in Alaska, and did the deer migrate or are they a native species, they mention the area where they are established in the yukon, but were they put there. It just makes the Coues more and more unique.
coueshunter Report post Posted August 20, 2005 I dont know about the muleys but I know that sitka blacktails were put on Kodiak as a transplant from the Charlotte Islands or something similar. Roosevelt elk were transplanted on the raspberry islands along with the rocky mountain goats. I also think Kodiak has a few caribou that I think were transplanted.
