The road closures, which largely affect the area east of state Highway 64, were implemented due to wet, muddy and hazardous conditions that created public safety and resource damage concerns. While all motorized travel restrictions will be lifted as of Friday, motorists are cautioned to avoid any remaining patches of snow, ice and mud. Visitors to the Tusayan Ranger District can contact the district office at (928) 638-2443 for additional information and specific road conditions
