Red Rabbit Report post Posted April 12, 2010 The Little Colorado River is still flowing above 1100 CFS, so I took a Sunday drive to Grand Falls again to get some photos from different angles. The afternoon started sunny, but the late afternoon clouds arrived to the west with the latest front. There were a few gaps though for the sun to peak through near sunset. Red Rabbit Report post Posted April 14, 2010 A photographer friend here in Flag had not been to Grand Falls, so we left late yesterday afternoon to go capture some of the evening light on the falls. When we arrived, the shadow was just creeping up the bottom of the falls. With the river flowing about 2000 cfs, there was also lots of mist to create rainbows in the sunlight provided by the clear skies. Doug~RR

tjhunt2 Report post Posted April 14, 2010 Great pictures Doug. All your dedication is our reward. Don't seem right we get this at your expense but I'm not one to complain. Thanks for sharing. TJ
Knifeboy Report post Posted April 14, 2010 Doug, If you don't mind me asking; what shutter speed did you use on that fourth picture? As always very enjoyable to see your adventures memorialized in such a magnificent way; thanks for sharing.
Red Rabbit Report post Posted April 14, 2010 If you don't mind me asking; what shutter speed did you use on that fourth picture? It was a 5 second exposure. ISO 100, f/18, 3-stop neutral density filter and also polarizing filter. Tripod mounted. The sun was going behind some thin clouds as it set, so that helped also.
