The IRS drives me crazy

Recommended Posts

Well, it has been 2 months since I filed my taxes, and I have been patiently awaiting my refund. I went online to check the status, and it says my refund in on hold for a tax liability on another account  Wait.........a stinkin minute, I have no other accounts and no tax liabilities whatsoever.

So, I had to do what I dread the most, and call the IRS  After burning up 45 minutes of cell phone minutes, I find out the IRS computer put a freeze on my refund for an outstanding tax liability that does not exist. :(

Today in the mail I received a notice from the IRS informing me that they are adding $400.00 more to my refund for a "making work pay" credit on line 63., but, it will take up to 6 more weeks to recieve my refund. :o

I am not one to complain about receiving extra money, but now my refund is anticipated to be sent 14 weeks after original filing.????

Thats 3 1/2 months.

Many states are postponing refunds this year to maximize their return on YOUR borrowed money due to nation-wide budget shortages. Thank a Dem by punching them sqare in the face.

The state of Arizona sent my refund 3 weeks after I filed. I would like to send the IRS a bill for interest on my money, just like they would do to me if I owed them!

I can think of a whole slew of Democrats that I would like to give a knuckle sandwhich too, that has nothing to do with delayed refunds ;)

I think the IRS is required to give you interest on any late payments, you might check online to see what the requirements for that are. :D

You are right. I just got a couple more IRS "STALL" letters admitting that they are delaying the processing of my refund, but that they will have to pay me interest.

Whats next, an audit, on a simple and straight forward tax return?

Swell!

I wish they would just send me a letter that says.....,

Dear Mr. Snapshot,

Due to the current state of affairs created by our new communistic President, and spend happy Democrats, who gave all of your tax dollars to the greedy and corrupt banks and automakers, we no longer have any money to pay your refund.

We realize you are an unemployed and misplaced worker, and that you really need your refund. However, we decided to jerk you around for 4 months instead.

Have a nice day!

The IRS

4 grand? Ouch! That stings!

I have never gotten this big a refund before. I usually owed when I was SE.

When I was self employed and did not make any quarterly estimate tax payments, I got stung a few times at the end of the year.

I expect nothing less from the IRS. I am self employed and for a solid year last year I (my accountant) fought those idiots over 5 different quarterly tax statements from previous years. They sent multiple threatening letters saying I owed them all kinds of money and they were going to put a lien on my house and everything else they could legally. We had to keep sending them the reports over and over again until someone finally grew enough of a brain to apply them to my business correctly.

Snap,

Be very aware of money they are giving you that you did not ask for.....strings attached somewhere I am sure.

Good luck to everybody in the taxation without representation area. We just went over our insurance policy and you know that government health care plan that just got passed......you and I are getting ready to pay for that plan like never before..................

If you have a job, pay taxes and pay for your insurance or anybody elses, get ready for the big SCREW!!!

Pardon my french.........
