Coues 'n' Sheep

Since I drew a Bull tag.....

Recommended Posts

Um....... Being that I finally drew a great bull tag in AZ I thought it fitting to ask for info on where to start looking.... Now I'll have 7 months to search (after my return from Africa) and I just need you all to point me in the right direction....But I don't wanna know your secret spot or nothing... However GPS cords would be greatly appreciated as would photos of what a "good" elk looks like. Thanks in advance I know there are a lot of great people here and I look forward to your help on this great hunt! :D

    :P

Sorry....just wanted to be the first E-Scouter of the 2010 season!!!! ;) :P  :P

I'm assuming 23 or maybe 3C on the rim.

Starting at the unit border... and 260... drive as fast as you can and I'll guarantee you'll get one... or seven.

Make sure you are using enough caliber (vehicle mass) and running it at optimum velocity.... as always, shot placement is key and a broadside shot will get the job done quickly... a head shot will result in less meat loss.

Unless you reload your own vehicle.

I suggest using premium gas. If running a diesel, I have had the best luck with the ultra low sulfur :D

A gasoline powered truck will be "California Condor Safe and Approved", as it uses unleaded. ;)

But really  , since you will be gone to Africa before the hunt, have you considered hiring a good guide :D ;)

I can't better the idea of driving fast along highway 260, but if you know anybody who needs help finding elk in 30B, let me know.
