HaYen Report post Posted March 25, 2010 Here's a project that someone beat me too; A Ballistics Calculator for Android powered devices. I haven't loaded / used it yet, as I haven't yet acquired my Android phone. The screen shots make it look more user friendly for that interface then surfing over to Winchester's web site, for example, and using the calculator on their page. Also, an Android app would still work if you can't get a WiFi or cell signal. I believe the app also uses the devices internal GPS to acquire some of the information (NICE!!!). Has anyone tried this app? Best of all, its free. Now, if I could convince T-Mobile to renew my contract now and discount me a Samsung Behold2. I wonder if anyone has done this for the Win7 Phones? bonecollector Report post Posted March 25, 2010 Are you talking about the Motorola Droid?
HaYen Report post Posted March 25, 2010 The Motorola Droid is an Android Device (uses the Android Operating System), but a lot of companies have Android devices. Most of these are cell phones, but don't have to be. Here's a sample list of devices. I picked the Behold 2 because its a T-Mobile phone and has built in: 16GB of extra memory via the microSD slot Bluetooth 2.1 Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi radio GPS

HaYen Report post Posted March 26, 2010 I have to give up for the author, I never thought of using the phones GPS to collect data. Maybe he'll port it out to Win7 phones. LOL, that's a whole different kind of BSD.
