ScottAdams Report post Posted March 21, 2010 My boys went out yesterday looking for bears and glassed up 8 or 9 Coues bucks. They convinced me I needed to go in and take a look at one particular buck. Well I have never been one to turn down the chance to check out a good Coues buck. So I got up at 3:00 am this morning and headed out to glass some country where they had seen these bucks the day before. Wouldn't you know it we found the bucks plus a few more. Turns out this time of year with all the rain we've had has the deer all feeding on the SE slopes gobbling up the fillery and other weeds that have sprouted up. The glassing was easy and the bucks were bachelored up. We saw 7 in one group, and 11 total. Really is a good time to get out before they drop and see what's up and coming for next year. Curious to see what this buck will look like this fall.
bonecollector Report post Posted March 21, 2010 Good looking bucks, can't wait to get out next weekend for some spring scouting myself. I hopefully will find the 4 point I have trail cam pics of or at least some sheds. Thanks for sharing.

tjhunt2 Report post Posted March 21, 2010 Thanks Scott for the pics. Makes me feel I'm some place other than here at work this evening. Only 4 more days then off to do a little turkey scouting and maybe I'll be lucky enough to see some coues as well. TJ
deerhunter Report post Posted March 21, 2010 Nice pics Scott. I'm also going to go out and do some spring turkey scouting for me and my 11 year old. He is hooked on hunting after getting his first turkey last year.
