As someone who grew up during WWII, I have always made it a point to never buy a vehicle if the profits from its manufacture went to Tokyo or Berlin. It doesn't matter where if it is assembled here or somewhere else. Follow the money.

The problem with following the money trail these days is that it leads straight to Capital Hill and the White House!

That is true and the people have responded. GM is still in the crapper while Ford is recovering nicely. I would have no problem spending my money on Ford. GM and Chrysler will never see a dime of my money.

Built in 79, bought it in 86 for 4000, I put a new engine in it 15 years ago. I can change the oil, u-joints, carburetor, brake fluid, fan clutch, water pump, hubs, brakes and I hate mechaninican, don't really know what I am doing.

Was seriously considering a Toyota Tundra, but after looking at the price and now knowing that the soft brakes on my old Ford are still better than the new ones on the Tundra, guess I will try and squeeze a few more years out of the old Ford.
