Anyway, the topic heading reminded me of an incedent that happened to my dad. While deer hunting in Unit 10 AZ, dad was doing some late afternoon jogging. He said he heard or sensed some thing behind him and glanced over his shoulder to find that he was being pursued by a pack of coyotes. Dad started shouting at them, but they showed no sign of fear and began encircling him. He began throwing rocks at them and was able to keep them at bay until he made it back to camp.
