I am new to this site and I very quickly realized that you are a great poster and someone that has has contributed greatly to this site. It's very obvious that about 99% of the people on here are people of high character. I really enjoy this website for a lot of reasons. Ernesto...keep those great posts comin and don't worry about your faith offending others. Thank you for your great contributions to this site. I hope to meet you in the field some day. And if all those replies were negative, you would still be the man. I agree with Allen, no need to apologize. Jesus does not need to be defended or apologized for, yet thank you for being considerate of other people's feelings. I may have been a part of the misunderstanding. I called Jesus a "dangerous life changing dude". That's what I believe, because I've seen what He does in people. I am one of the people that has been radically changed by Him. There was a Mike that would abuse all kinds of drugs and alcohol, and yet call himself a parent. This guy thought only of himself and blamed all his problems on someone else. It was only after decades of abuse, when he thought he was gonna die, that he realized he had screwed up his own life and desperately needed a power far beyond himself. He called on Jesus and was touched by Him. Cold turkey was easy because I wasn't doing it on my own power. That old Mike is dead, and this new Mike hasn't had anything stronger than coffee in over nine years! My life has been salvaged. Renewed. Blessed. Jesus is not Barny Milktoast. He is not an idea, or a religion. He is the power that all of creation is held together by. Jesus is God. - Yet He cares about boneheads like me? Go figure. You're a great inspiration, Ernesto. You're the guy that blesses people on a hunting forum. No telling how God uses you with the rest of your life. I have always appreciated your posts. Apparently no one has been offended. If there is someone reading this string and is offended by these printed words, maybe you should carve out some time to work your mind and heart around just exactly why the thought of an all powerful, all knowing and loving God bothers you. He said he will stop back when he has some free time but he is going to be pretty busy for the next month or so. A little time off can do everyone some good from time to time don'tcha know.... KGAINES Report post Posted August 9, 2005 It's funny how the mention of God or Jesus can get you kicked out of school, or cause you to be chastised as a pushy christian, but mention allah, budha, or anybody elses gods and you better be talking nice and sweet or you could get thrown in jail, the last I heard, we still swear on a bible in court, and so help me God is part of our induction into the military, I even think it is part of the presidential oath, our country was founded on christianity and freedom, so if somebody is offended by the mention of GOD, who cares. You start appologizing for saying stuff like ''Praise the lord'' and '' God bless you" and we are all gonna be in a lot of trouble!!! The last I checked God gave us, free will, and that allows us to express ourselves in a variety of different ways. Why I would almost bet that ole CHD himself has prayed to the man upstairs many a time to send him along a big old buck or bull. I know I have. You, of all people should know that Satin himself is loving that appology. I get mad just thinking about you appologizing. If you have offended anyone on this forum, then "Oh well'', thats just human nature, but thats no need for appoligizing for trying to enlighten your fellow man about the ''Lord Jesus Christ''.Don`t make me come over to Yuma and wup some since into ya. Anyone who is willing to step out there and say what a difference that Jesus makes/made in their life is bigger than ANY man I've ever met. And even better, even doing a little thing like blessing someone you never met and/or don't know is having an impact on many people, especially the non-believers. You guys are awesome.
