az4life Report post Posted August 7, 2005 Read about this in the AZ Repugnant today. It is now legal to donate your tag to certain charitable organizations. 3 Younsters are already preparing to hunt in AZ this year on donated tags. Good thing I believe! Here is the link to the story. .270 Report post Posted August 8, 2005 you've been able to give your tag to a minor child for some time. i know it's a good deal an' all, i guess, to donate a tag to someone. but i guess i'm just stingy. as hard as it is to get a tag for anything anymore, especially this year, this child ain't givin' his tag to nobody. but if anyone has an elk tag they don't want, i'll be whatever it takes for ya to donate it to me. just think o' me as an old kid. az4life Report post Posted August 8, 2005 I think the tag had to be given to a relative child in the past, but now they allow us to pass one on to any qualifying charitable organization. I think the Make-a-wish group is pretty good, and the "hunt of a lifetime" group is an offshoot of them, after the tree huggers complained about letting the teenager go to AK on a Polar Bear Hunt. Get that paperwork going Lark, and you might be a qualifying organization.
