Coues 'n' Sheep Report post Posted February 24, 2010 Did it as a kid growin' up.... ... The advice I have is have a good light... I ended up in over my head and swimming in the East Verde one night cuz the water went from knee deep to ?? ?? in like one step... ...and that makes for a long cold night!!!! deserthntr Report post Posted February 24, 2010 it is the funnest thing ever. we float down a certain river and i beleive you cant shoot out of a canoe so we will just go in waders in winter or in swimsuit when it opens in august and jump out and blast them with some buck shot. doesnt tear them up hardly. but we dont use a spotlight just a nice headlamp cause the spotlight seems the scare them. but you see them PLENTY well with a nice headlamp. there eyes reflect back blue, but so do house cats dont ask how i found out haha. but its alot of fun to do, weve had a few giant coons, like 3 foot long Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
longshooter Report post Posted February 25, 2010 Use to hunt them all the time in the north end of Las Vegas when I was younger. Its amazing how they come out of the wood work as soon as it gets dark. Drive around the dumps with a spot light and you would see those shiny eyes starring back at you.
