I speak from experience in saying that the best part of being old enough to qualify for a pioneer hunting and fishing license is that you don't have to buy regular licenses ever again.

The downside is that you only have a few years left to use it ... if you are lucky. :)

Why do alot of you like the onlin application process. I know its convient, certainly for non residents, but looking in the past, there seemed to be more applying during the online process than the standard traditional paper process. This seemed true for Bighorn and Buffalo. Sure its cheap to just apply and if your drawn then they charge your card, but this puts alot of the non-die-hards (weekend warriors) back into the application process. I would probable like the online process if they charge your card for all the fees up front, Lic, & Tag, maybe that way we will have the convience of applying online, but also keeping some of the non-die-hards out. Just thinkning.

I thought I remembered not much of a difference in the amount of applicants when they switched back to the paper apps. But as far as the "non-die-hards" NOT applying if their CC is charged up front? I don't think people will think twice about that. There are two types of CC holders: Those who use them wisely and those who don't. Either one, the up-front charge means nothing.....

I dont mind it either way, but I did notice that when I did apply online I found out if I got drawn before the draw results were made public because I would see that my card was charged.
