Redman Report post Posted July 31, 2005 Greetings, I got my New Mexico "carcass tag" yesterday. Its pretty different than an Arizona tag, it's just a sheet of paper. Anybody else get theirs? On the tag is states "this is not a hunting license, the hunter must purchase one separately". When I read the NM regs, it states hunting license are not issued to non-residents. Is there something else I need to do? (i am going to call the NM Game and Fish) Redman
Red Rabbit Report post Posted July 31, 2005 I called NMG&F a couple of weeks ago and asked a similar question. The nice gal said we can puchase the license from the department or fron a license vendor. She thought the cutoff date would be a few days before the hunt, but said a letter enclosed wth the carcass tag woud offer explanation. RR
DEERSLAM Report post Posted July 31, 2005 I also talked to NM game and fish last week. They said I should be getting my PERMIT very soon and that when I receive it I can then buy my nonresident deer LICENSE at any vendor. Hopefully we can also buy these online.
