biggelkhunter Report post Posted January 18, 2010 I hope everyone is ready for all the storms this week!! Not much talk about it on the news. This is what they are say for the 3rd storm. THERE WILL BE A STRONG POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING SOUTH OF THE MOGOLLON RIM. CURRENT MODEL GUIDANCE IS INDICATING THE POSSIBILITY OF UP TO 5 TO 6 INCHES OF RAIN POSSIBLE OVER YAVAPAI AND NORTHERN GILA COUNTY BETWEEN THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING. IF THIS MUCH RAIN WERE TO OCCUR BOTH OF THESE COUNTIES WOULD HAVE WIDESPREAD AND SEVERE FLOODING TO CONTEND WITH. That a lot of rain in 24 hours!
bonecollector Report post Posted January 18, 2010 We could use the rain but thats a little much at one time! Stay safe everybody if it comes down!
Red Rabbit Report post Posted January 18, 2010 The rain that falls upon the prior snow is a concern for flooding. But the runoff will be good for the water catchments, tanks, lakes. Depending on the temperature of the Thusrday/Friday storm, NOAA said anywhere from 1-5 feet of snow also.
coueswt Report post Posted January 18, 2010 We'll take all of the rain/snow we can get. Some water holes that i hunt have always had water are dry right now, first time that i know of. Though i guess i won't be going to Pinedale this week-end.
