firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted January 13, 2010 My dad finally gave into his failing hip. Today at about noon, he went under the knife. My mom and I just got to see him and currently, he is in good spirits. High as a kite, and loopy but not feelin much pain. Doctor says that it was a success, and he should make a full recovery. He didnt have a full replacement, just a Birmingham Hip Re-surfacing procedure done. Less intrusive, and he should be able to recover quicker. Thank you all. Kilimanjaro Report post Posted January 13, 2010 I had uncle Mick a bottle of the finest to help heal the hip, but I snuck it into the luggage bag and it somehow dissapeared in the Ceasars Palace hotel room last weekend while we were there!! Who'da figured?? I'll have to pick him up a new one when I get out of this camp detail and head over that way to wish him well.
