Found this large shed in southern Arizona this fall. His G2 is 10.75" and he is missing some bone off of the G3 and G4. What do you think he would score if both sides matched and how old do you think the shed is??

Great shed!! I would guess it's about a 52" antler so in the 118" range. Pics are to whited out from the bright flash to tell antler age but from the little clear peek of the eyeguard I can see in the first pic I'd say it's relatively new, maybe shed this spring but no longer than 2 springs ago. You seriously need to find the other side or at least try to find that buck and hunt him!

Thanks for the replies. I had a December tag this year and spent the whole hunt chasing the buck below that I found last year (sorry it is a little blurry, it was my first attemp at digiscoping). It was a tough hunt and I could never find him during the 10 days spent behind the 15's. I tagged out on a fork horn the last 1/2 hour of light on New Years eve and found this shed while getting into shooting position. I like to eat them almost as much as I would like to take one over 110"!!

Josh,

How much area should I be covering from where I found the shed in order to find the match? I know you have a lot of experience in this area and your input might help me locate the other side. If I can find the other antler I probably will get them mounted. I took a digiscoped picture of a very large buck about 1 3/4 miles from where I found this shed, but I do not think its from the same buck.

DANDY shed!! Grong is right on the money I'm sure.

Congrats on your buck.

I don't know that I'd dismiss the buck in the digi scope picture being him, nice thought anyway.

Looks like some good genetics in the area regardless :) .

Thanks for posting
