lion kill

Recommended Posts

My dad found this set of antlers in 36B while javelina hunting a few years ago. Probably from a lion kill. Too bad a hunter didn't get it first. My guess is that it scores about 90 or maybe a little bit more. What do you guys think??

That is a great buck w/ really good main beams, good g2's, decent mass, a 5th point that is coutable on the left side. I would guess this rack at about 105". Take it to a taxidermist or ask someone who knows how to score and let us know what he scores!!! Beautiful rack!!

I want to thank TREESTANDMAN for coming over to my house and scoring that rack for me. He scored it at just over 104, certainly more than I thought it would be. Thanks TREESTANDMAN.

Talk about a close guess from a single picture! Spot on dude!

I guess maybe we should all re-evaluate our guesses for the July contest after we look back to see what Treestandman guessed them at.

Thansk for sharing the picture and the scoring story!

Treestandman when you comin over to my house to score my sheds?

I have massive sheds and a quite a few are really worth scoring.

Plan on me providing a midday barbque and a couple cold beers or uncle mikes for the training lesson.

Dan

I got pretty lucky w/ that guess. Usually I'm a few inches off.

I thought one of his dads bucks on the wall would go mid nineties and it was actually 88".

I scored another one of his dads bucks with awesome mass to the tips of every tine and he scored just over 105". It is a typical 3*3 but his dad shot one of the antlers off at its base so we guessed the inside spread at 13".

Dan H, Let me know where you live and if it is fairly close I'd love to come over and check out your sheds.
