Basser15 Report post Posted December 24, 2009 Helped a buddy last weekend fill his Dec tag. He wanted to better his deer from last year(which wasn't hard to do) but needed to get it done before X-mas since he would be out of town or working for the rest of the year. Houston came out on the first weekend of the season and we were unable to find him a deer he was wanting to fill his tag with. The second weekend we found this guy and my buddy made a great stalk on it. Only downside was that he kicked out two much bigger deer along his way and I was unable to get ahold of him to let him know...oh well. He ended up getting into position and making a great shot which I got to watch from a distance. Pretty cool to watch a buck drop in his tracks and then hear the ring of the gun several seconds later. He said he saw fur exploding from the bucks shoulder and a second later he herd the sound of the rifle. Again good job and congratulations!
