You go against your better judgement and divuldge very detailed info in the interest of helping out a fellow hunter. Just suppose (hypothetically, of course) that hunter went on to take a nice trophy-class buck and then refused to say, even privately, whether it was taken in one of the areas you suggested. In this "purely hypothetical" situation, you can see why some people might opt not to share information in the future, knowing that gifts given aren't always returned. Some food for thought anyway. youngbuck Report post Posted December 29, 2009 I guess ive always been a dont ask dont tell guy when it comes to this with people i dont know. If i know ya, i dont have a problem tellin what unit. I guess people askin me what unit never got to me it was the "well where in the unit" that bugged me. I have no prob helpin out a new guy who is actively tryin to find some spots. if i think a guy will actually look for the spots instead of just tellin all his buddies ill help him out. I think alot of it has to do with the internet. I guess its a little different if a guy shakes my hand before he asks and i think hed pull me outa the ditch if i got stuck the next day. I don't get it G&F must have everything screwed up and our coues are disappearing right before us .... Bet most of these big ones were taken in mexico and people are just saying it was here cause the big boys are not around anywhere ..... OK that was a bunch of sarcasm to poke at some who think everything is screwed up and yet I can't think of a recent year I have seen so many quality bucks and not just posted here .... Great attribute to the hunters harvesting them. I know there are several that were not even reported and hung on a tree(not a numbers game to these folks). Still 3/4 of a month to go.. I have seen some big ones from north to almost as far south as you can go plenty to be found out in those hills if you happen to be in the right place at the right time .....
