I didn't get a deer tag this year, but things still worked-out almost perfectly for me.... Even though I didn't get drawn for rifle deer, I got a 6A North archery cow elk tag. In addition to this though, my son got both of his second choice junior hunts, which means that he will be on the junior cow hunt in 6A in mid-October, and up on the Kiabab for the junior hunt in November. I'll be chasing the cows with my bow in 6A just two weeks prior to my son's hunt, so hopefully I'll have some good locations scouted for his hunt.

 

I'm a little bummed that I won't be down south chasing coues with a rifle this fall, but I'm really just as excited that my boy got a couple of good tags. We should have a couple of really good hunts together this fall! Good luck to those folks I know who will be down in the 36's! No coues for me this year....

First of all and most importantly, condolances to those that didn't draw anything. I think we've all been there many times over, and if you haven't you most likely will at some point. A bitter and hard pill to swallow. Congrats to those that did get lucky. Have fun.

Yey, 37B Mule deer in november

cow elk in 23 (limited hunt, canyon creek area)

 

deer hunt is going to be real tough, any help appreciated. If someone knows 37b well, let me know

 

dint get my 1st choice for deer which was 24a mule deer

37B is an "any antlered deer" permit which means you can go after white tail in that unit which are located around the Oracle area. Mulies is scattered through out the unit, even in the flats. The mountains and larger rolling hills would be easier to hunt though.

Hi all new here. I got skunked again. My wife and son got a 33 whitetail tag and my son got a 5b south cow tag. Anyone got any good spots to start in 33? I plan on scouting but with gas prices going up I dont know how many times I can make the trip.We live in Peoria.

Not only did i strike out like i posted yesterday, but after talking to my dad, brother, and all of our hunting buddies (13 in all), between us we drew one november muley hunt in 36C. Talk about a tough year!
